I have been coming here for over a year and I can say, I always have an amazing experience with the staff, the interaction between then and my pets. They are always very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Always willing to go the extra mile. They always ask, if I need help with my purchases or loading my pets to the car! I'd give you 10 stars if it were posible!!!

Pet Story is amazing! The staff is kind, patient, friendly and very knowledgeable about the grooming process and the products that they sell. My dog Abby has been going to Pet Story every 6-7 weeks for about 2 years now and she runs to the back of the store to meet her groomer every single time we arrive. Jane pets Abby and Abby kisses her before it’s grooming time! There has never been a cut or a knick on my dog. I mention this because Abby is very sweet, but can be a challenge to groom. When Jane is not available I have used other groomers and they are all professional and exceptional. I feel at completely at ease leaving my fur baby with the Pet Story family.

I love this place! The groomers are superb and the groomings are phenomenal. My little dog is never scared and comes out very happy and beautiful!

I absolutely love Pet Story NY in Mineola!!! My experience from start to finish was impeccable. I’m not even kidding. You walk in and this place does not smell like any pet store I have ever been to—it smells so fresh, and the displays are beautiful. They have an array of special treats that I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing until today, and the staff was very accommodating, welcoming, and super friendly. We went to get a groom today thanks to all the reviews that rave about them, and let me just say—thank God they live up to their reputation. We had Hazel do Mia’s groom today and her attention to detail was next level. She left no question unturned, helped me fill out the form step by step, and truly made me feel comfortable leaving Mia in her care. She even made sure to ask about any sensitivities, preferences, or special instructions, which made me feel like Mia wasn’t just another appointment—they really cared. When I picked Mia up, she looked like a million bucks! I’ve been to many groomers before and they never made Mia look this adorable. And the pink polka dot bow was the most adorable touch of class I could have ever imagined. Just the little details made this visit so special. Hazel nailed the cut we discussed, and Mia was happy, not stressed at all. It was obvious she was handled with love. I’ll absolutely be coming back—and if you’re looking for a groomer who actually listens and delivers, I’m sure all of them are perfect, but Hazel is definitely one of the greatest groomers. I am so happy with my experience and highly recommend Pet Story NY in Mineola. It is a gem!

This place is exceptional! I own a Golden retriever and she's notorious for matted fur. She usually gets these knots behind the ears and under her tail. The groomers there are all super qualified to remove them. Thank you for the quality service each and every time I bring my dog! She appreciates it too!

Updated review again with newest photos at bottom from March 2025. Jane did a phenomenal job! We ❣️ Pet Story! Highly recommend!!! Everyone at Pet Story is so welcoming and kind, both staff and groomers. They do an amazing job bathing and grooming my Malshi. A little on the pricey side, but worth every penny. Convenient location, parking, and easy to book an appt online. They take such good care of the dogs, and have tons of patience. My lil guy is not scared to stay there unlike other places. I fear he was mistreated at our prior groomer because he used to freak out & not want to stay, and then he'd be uncontrollably cry-barking when I came back to pick him up. He doesn't act like that at Pet Story, he's always super happy when I come back to get him. Only place we will go now! Since Google only allows 1 review, I'm updating my original one to add that we've been back to Pet Story many times. All of the staff is gracious and kind, and the groomers do a wonderful job. They are always patient and understanding with my nervous lil guy... New photos added also of his latest cut.

CoolWhip and Archie got the best grooming at this location! The groomers did such an amazing job! CoolWhip is a spicy Chihuahua, and she went very calmly with them and was very happy with her scarf. Archie the yorkie looked adorable! I love the way they styled his face!!! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Ziggy has been going to Pet Story for grooming for over 3 years and they always do a wonderful job. Staff are super friendly, caring, and helpful. Love their selection of toys, treats, and products for pets as well.

Pet Story is an amazing store, my pup had a grooming appointment with Jane today. She looks beautiful, all of the staff was so kind. Pet story, is clean, organized and very professional. I would not hesitate to use them in the future. I am extremely satisfied with the services we received. Definitely 5 stars for us!!! Thank you Pet Story!

My HavaMalt has been visiting Pet Story for about 2 years for Daycare and Grooming. I gave Pet Story 5 stars all around. My interaction with the staff has always been welcoming and pleasant. They have a true passion for our little friends. Their care is visible from you enter the store.
